As I head to Beaver County to stargaze and soak in the Rugged Skies, I pledge to respect the night sky and my fellow stargazers by abiding by the following stargazing etiquette.
- Arrive before darkness falls
- Eliminate any unnecessary and extraneous sources of white light
- Use a red light made for astronomy and only when needed
- Park your car so when you leave, the headlights point away from the viewing site
- Avoid loud, boisterous behavior
- Leave no trace by taking all of your waste with you
