Rugged Skies Pledge

As I head to Beaver County to stargaze and soak in the Rugged Skies, I pledge to respect the night sky and my fellow stargazers by abiding by the following stargazing etiquette.

• Arrive before darkness falls
• Eliminate any unnecessary and extraneous sources of white light
• Use a red light made for astronomy and only when needed
• Park your car so when you leave, the headlights point away from the viewing site
• Avoid loud, boisterous behavior
• Leave no trace by taking all of your waste with you
