Manderfield Reservoir (AKA Indian Creek Reservoir) was built in the 1920s by the Manderfield Ditch and Irrigation Company. The reservoir was comprised of two side-by-side impoundments sometimes identified on maps as Indian Creek Reservoir and Manderfield Reservoir.

The upper dam was washed out in the 1990s and years later, the lower dam was rebuilt to enlarge the reservoir to encompass both locations. Built on Indian Creek, the water supplies irrigation water to Manderfield farmers and is correctly known by both names. This small lake offers excellent fishing, camping, kayaking, and swimming. There are lakeside campsites and a vault toilet available.

There are also several wonderful hiking/equestrian trails in the area that lead you to remote, backcountry adventure. The lake sits at the base of Mt Baldy which towers over the deep canyon and surrounding area. The road is closed in wintertime and not accessible until early summer when the snow has completely melted.
