Snowshoeing is the most accessible way to explore the magical winter backcountry in the Tushars—Utah’s third-highest mountain range. Snowshoe around Puffer Lake for a quiet and pristine morning. Or, stay closer to town and snowshoe the Beaver Bench Trail System. Snowshoe rentals are available at Tucker High Adventure Tours.

A Beaver staple, this grocery store offers a prepared hot soup and salad bar as well as other great prepared foods to take along on your next adventure.

SLEDDING

There’s no better place to dive into this classic pastime than Ramblers. For the best sledding, head to Merchant Valley, where you can park along the pullout on Hwy 153 for Ramblers’ favorite sledding hill.

If you’re into snowmobiling or just want to give it a try, Ramblers is the ideal spot. Experienced riders looking for open valleys should check out Big Flat or Merchant Valley. Ice Fishing

Cast a line this winter in Ramblers. Minersville Lake is easily accessible and offers excellent ice fishing when the temps dip low enough to freeze it over. Don’t be a numbskull. Be sure to check the thickness of the ice before you walk onto it. Need some gear?
