Tushar Lake

Located within the majestic Tushar Mountain Range and nestled within a forest of aspen and mixed conifer Tushar Lake, also known as Lower Kents Lake, is the perfect place for outdoor adventure. The lake and small meadow offer great fishing, hiking, canoeing, sand volleyball and wildlife viewing.  Situated at 8,560 feet, Tushar Lake offers visitors a chance to escape the heat of the summer and spend the day relaxing on the lake or exploring lightly established trails.

There’s so much to do and see in the surrounding area too! From the Tushar Lake area you can continue up the Kents Lake Road (FR-137) past LeBaron Lake, through Betenson Flat back to SR-153. Heading back to Beaver on SR-153, you will pass Puffer Lake, at which point you will return to an asphalt road which leads through the Eagle Point ski resort. Also near Tushar Lake are Middle and Upper Kents Lakes and Anderson Meadows Reservoir. The Skyline Trail begins at nearby Big Flat and the Paiute ATV trail passes through the surrounding mountains with numerous side trails close by. The Tushar Lakeside Campground is a great base camp for your adventure.
