The Beaver Bench Mountain Bike Trail System is currently a 3-mile mountain bike loop just three miles east of downtown Beaver with plans to expand. The Creamery
This iconic Beaver Business is a must-see! The Creamery’s all-day dairy-inspired menu offers fresh, high-quality meals made with local ingredients whenever possible. Ice cream made using milk produced by the brand’s family farm-owners makes for a perfect way to wrap up a meal.
The Creamery also sells a handful of cheeses, each expertly crafted to suit the palates of its visitors, as well as its famous cheese curds, aka squeaky cheese, of which it sells two to three thousand pounds each weekend during peak season.
Old Courthouse Museum
The Beaver Courthouse was destroyed by a fire in 1882, rebuilt, and used through 1975. Now strictly a museum, it contains the US flag flown on the USS Utah, which sank during the attack on Pearl Harbor. Also displayed are re-created judges’ chambers, court recorders’ and sheriff’s offices, and several 19th-century items. The jail in the basement was used through 1976. Hike to Granite Peak Reservoir
Granite Peak Reservoir is a stunning pool tucked into a narrow rock canyon. Getting here takes a pretty quick little hike with a round trip of approximately 40 minutes. But make sure to climb around these rocks and explore the area because there is a geocache hiding on the north side of the pool.
Minersville Lake
The lake is more than 900 acres when full. Adjacent to the lake, you’ll find a county-operated campground and paved boat ramp where you can rent paddle boats and life jackets for a couple of hours. There is also a great park for kids with natural climbing structures and lots of opportunities for play.
