Road Trippin’ through Beaver County – An Itinerary
If you haven’t heard, KUTV is rolling through Beaver County in late July to highlight the wonder and magic of the area and promote our website through their wildly popular Road Trippin’ segment. To mark the occasion, we put together the following itinerary so you can hit all the featured hot spots!
Stop 1 – Minersville Reservoir
Head to Minersville Lake (aka Minersville Reservoir) near Minersville to treat yourself to a night of lakeside camping or glamping. Over 900 acres when full, the lake features abundant options to “get your lake on” to beat the heat while enjoying the water.
You’ll find sites to pitch a tent, post up in your RV, and even rent a small cabin.
Stop 2 – Minersville Reservoir Paddleboard & Rental options
For our second stop, you won’t need to travel far — or at all — from Minersville Lake Park. This stop is all about renting paddleboards, kayaks, and lifejackets to experience the water in an undeniably sporty fashion.
Stop 3 – Where to Eat? Loaded Burger at Arshels Cafe in Beaver
Time to fill up on some of the best burgers in all of Utah at Loaded Burger. This charming food truck located at Arshels Cafe in Beaver brings the thunder big time. Take your pick from over 10 savory burgers or opt for a mouthwatering burrito, quesadilla, or tempting plate of nachos.
Stop 4 – Target Practice at Milford Trap Club in Milford
It’s time to test your aim at the fabulous Milford Trap Club in Milford. It is the Wild West, after all, so hit up this outdoor shooting range with an impressive mountain backdrop and go to work on some clay targets. The Trap Club is also home to several annual competitions.
Stop 5 – Milford City Park for the Milford City Sesquicentennial
Birthdays come and go, but when was the last time you celebrated a 150-year-old’s big day? This Labor Day Weekend, celebrate 150 years of Milford, Utah, at Milford City Park. Over three days, enjoy fireworks, live music, food trucks, a cornhole tournament, and much much more. This is one birthday party you do not want to miss!
Stop 6 – Beaver County Historic Courthouse Museum
A visit to an area so steeped in history wouldn’t be complete without a stop by the Beaver County Historic Courthouse Museum in Beaver. This gorgeous red brick two-story building is nothing short of a time machine to a bygone era. Check out the jail cells and see the prisoners’ scratches, explore the courtroom, and become awe-struck with the late Victorian architecture.
Stop 7 – Rugged Skies – Rock Corral Recreation Area
Thanks to our low humidity and high elevations, Beaver County provides premier Rugged Skies stargazing. Make your way to the Rock Corral Recreation Area 10 miles east of Milford to find yourself surrounded by dreamlike granite peaks and remote darkness as you gaze upward to glimpse the clear sky and stars like never before.
